The past week at Canterbury Creek Farm Preschool was nothing short of magical as our summer camps kicked off with a bang! From exciting big trucks to pony rides, painting parties, and making new friends, it was a week filled with unforgettable experiences and valuable learning opportunities for our young campers.
Making New Friends and Building Confidence
One of the highlights of our summer camps is the opportunity for children to meet new friends and gain independence and confidence in a school-like setting. For many first-time campers, this week marked their first experience away from home, and it was inspiring to see them embrace new adventures with enthusiasm. From playing in the barn and meadow to taking nature hikes and feeding the animals, every moment was an opportunity for growth and discovery.
Excitement with Grade Excavation
Early in the week, the afternoon class got to watch Grade Excavation in action as they helped us remove large tree stumps from the area behind our East school building. The sight of big trucks and digging machines had our little ones captivated, providing an unexpected delight. Thanks to Grade Excavation for their outstanding work and for creating such a memorable experience for our students.
Pony Rides and Painting Fun
As the week progressed, our campers had the chance to enjoy a pony ride on our gentle ponies, Casper and Dolly. They also unleashed their creativity during a painting session with Casper, transforming him into a work of art with colorful brushstrokes. These hands-on experiences not only brought joy but also fostered a deeper connection with our animal friends.
Fun-Filled Activities
Throughout the week, our campers enjoyed a variety of activities designed to engage their senses and spark their curiosity. They brushed the goats, explored the farm on nature hikes, and indulged in imaginative play in the barn. These hands-on experiences allowed them to connect with nature, learn about animal care, and develop important social and motor skills.
