As the summer camps come to a close, we’re reflecting on the wonderful experiences we’ve had and looking forward to the new school year at Canterbury Creek Farm Preschool. Our summer camps were a tremendous success, filled with joyful activities, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. From pony rides to nature hikes, it was a season of exploration and fun, and we’re so grateful for everyone who joined us.
Preparing for the New School Year
With summer winding down, our focus shifts to preparing for the 2024-2025 school year. The weeks leading up to school are a bustling time as our dedicated teachers and staff work hard to ensure everything is ready for the first day of school. This includes finalizing classroom setups, organizing supplies, and completing essential maintenance projects around the farm.
Orientation: A Welcoming Start
We kick off the new school year with orientation on September 3 and 4. This special event is an opportunity for new and returning students to meet our friendly staff, explore the classrooms, and familiarize themselves with the farm environment. For many of our little ones, this might be their first experience away from their parents, so orientation is a crucial time to help them feel comfortable and excited about their new school setting.
During orientation, students will:
- Meet the School Staff: Our dedicated team will be on hand to greet families and answer any questions.
- Explore the Buildings: Children will have a chance to walk through their new classrooms and visit essential areas like bathrooms.
- Discover the Farm: Kids will get to explore the farm, meet our animals, and start to build a connection with their new environment.
Getting Ready for School

- Maintenance Projects: Completing necessary repairs and updates around the farm to ensure everything is in tip-top shape for our students.
