December was a joyful and festive time at Canterbury Creek Farm Preschool! We embraced the holiday spirit with themed days, special visitors, and cheerful performances shared with our farm school families. Here’s a quick peek at the highlights:

A Visit from the Librarian

One of our favorite moments was welcoming the librarian from the East Grand Rapids Library. She brought wonderful books, songs, and fun activities to share. The children were captivated and couldn’t wait to visit the library themselves to check out the books we read together!

Festive Pajama Day

There’s nothing cozier than coming to school in pajamas! Our Festive Pajama Day was a big hit. The children arrived in their favorite sleepwear, excited to show off their patterns and tell stories about them. It was the perfect way to ease into the holiday break.

Holiday Sweater Day

Next came Festive Sweater Day! Bright colors, fun designs, and lots of holiday cheer filled the farm. Both kids and staff wore their most spirited sweaters, and the laughter and joy were contagious.

Learning About Hanukkah

We also had a special parent guest who taught us about Hanukkah. The children enjoyed learning the story behind the holiday and exploring its traditions in a hands-on, age-appropriate way. It was a wonderful moment of cultural sharing and curiosity.

Holiday Programs

To wrap up the season, each class performed holiday songs for their families. These heartfelt programs gave students a chance to shine and brought big smiles to everyone in the audience. Seeing their hard work and excitement on stage was a magical way to end the year.

As December came to a close, we felt grateful—grateful for the learning, the laughter, and most of all, for the amazing families who make up our school community. We can’t wait to see what adventures the new year will bring!
